July/August Favourites :)

Hey Everyone,

I'm finally back!!!  As you may or may not know I have just had a beautiful healthy baby boy last Wednesday so that is why there has been little to no activity on my blog or social medias!  I have been dying to get back to normality so I decided to throw up this post.  I was actually in the middle of writing this the night I went into labour! Haha.
So I haven't done a favourites post in quite a while and I know July is over and were almost half way through August already so what I decided to do was just combine the two months and do a favourites post that way.  There has been a lot of stuff I have been absolutely loving lately from beauty, skincare to the complete randomness of furniture and food!  So if you would like to see what I have been loving lately then just keep scrolling...

So even though this is one of my most recent purchases it has still managed to make its way into my favourites.  I do have a review coming on this product too so keep an eye out!!
I can't rave about this moisturiser anymore then I have in my review.  Honestly I'm cracking it has taking me so long to try it out.  Vaseline has created the perfect product for anyone who wants to look after there skin in a hurry.  I don't always have time in the mornings to sit and go through a full skincare routine so sometimes just moisturising is all I can manage,  I have been using this twice daily for almost a week now and I have been loving the results not only have I been seeing a difference in my dry skin but it leaves my skin looking, feeling and smelling great all day.  It drys instantly on the skin and is completely non greasy.

Next up is this amazing shimmer brick from Physicians Formula.  I was lucky enough to win a competition a few weeks back and this was one of the prizes.  I had never tried any products from the Physicians Formula range so I was really excited to give them a go.  I have been multi using this product hence why it has made it to my favourites as you know I am 39 weeks pregnant so my makeup has been quite minimal.  I have tended to stick to the same basic products every morning for a simple but fresh look and I have been using this bronzer to give me a natural looking contour. Also on days I feel like adding a bit more I have been using it as a shadow palette also to create a gorgeous smokey eye.  It has a silky smooth texture which just gives you a radiant glow.  This is the perfect bronzer to have in your makeup bag throughout the Autumn/Summer months.

I am always so late to the game when it comes to following trends.  This mascara has been raved about by many beauty bloggers and youtubers alike but yet it has taking me until now to see what all the fuss was about.  What was throwing me off if I'm completely honest is the mascara wand.  I prefer a thick brush at the tip, one that really gets into your lashes and gives them a lift.  I stupidly assumed that you just wouldn't achieve the same volume with a brush like this but... I COULDN'T OF BEEN ANY MORE WRONG!  Talk about judging a book by its cover,  I am now converted and I have been reaching for this everyday.  The little rubber bristles allows you to get right down to the route to lift and curl your lashes while giving you amazing volume.  The only downfall is that a lot of the product itself comes out with the wand.  I tend to wipe it back onto the mascara tube and it does the trick.  I think this was only €3.49 so another amazing bargain to add to your makeup bag.
Here is the mascara on! Totally amazing I LOVE IT!!!

Looking for a little treat for yourself that won't brake the bank?  Then look no further then Penneys PS Love Your Skin... Express range.  Every time I'm in their now I pick myself up one of these fab face masks.  It is a deep cleansing peel off mask and has a very fresh and cool scent of cucumber.  I just find the cucumber scent to be very calming and relaxing in general and always reminds me of expensive facials.  Anytime I'm feeling stressed out or my skin is having a bad day I like to pop one of these on and chill out while listening to some of my favourite music (mainly Ed Sheeran) <3! Haha.  Its also great to pop on while your in the bath.  Even if your just taking 5 minutes out of your day for yourself which is so important to do, nothing will make you feel better an more relaxed then a little face mask.  Go on try it... You deserve it girl!

This one was an absolute must for me!  I get asked on a daily basis what highlighter I use and this is the one!  I'm sure you have heard about the new trend that's taking the makeup world by storm 'Strobing'.  It is set to take over contouring.  Well so they say but in my opinion contouring is here to stay and strobing is just another another word giving to highlighting but that's another rant for another time! Haha. The highlighter I have been loving and reaching for everyday the past couple of weeks in Makeup Revolutions Baked highlighter in Golden Lights.  I honestly can't tell you how amazing this highlighter is.  The pay off would give any high end product a run for their money and  it lasts all day long! Better yet its at the cheaper end of the drugstore price range so its amazing value for money.  It retails for €4.20 on the website.  Absolute bargain buy €€€€!

So next up is this amazing Bedroom Furniture set that we got for baby Dylans nursery/bedroom.  This 3 piece set came with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed side locker.  We purchased this set of Littlewoods Ireland where we had also purchased Cailans furniture also a 3 piece set but it is completely different in look and colour however it did come with the same furniture pieces.  I adore this set because once its maintained I know Dylan will get years out of it so it was definitely a bargain buy.  The set retailed at €199.00 but when we went to purchase it was in the sale for €159.00.  I couldn't believe our luck so we ordered straight away.  Below are pictures of the furniture put together and in use in his room.  The wardrobe is massive as you can tell and I also got the canvas hanging shelf off Littlewoods too.  I ordered 2, 1 for Cai's room and 1 for Dylan's.  These are so handy for organising their little clothes as there is not enough room to hang everything up so you still have the convenience of being able to see everything they have,

I have decided to slot this one in as it has been somewhat of a lifesaver for me this week.  As you all know I have just had a baby and I had him through cesarean-section.  (I will have a post coming soon on my birth story so keep an eye out for that!)  During the surgery I lost a lot of blood which made me very pale and left me with no colour in my face what so ever!  To make myself look somewhat alive I used The Boots Botanic's Radiance Balm.  This just gave me a natural healthy glow and I didn't look half as bad as I actually was.  I loved this product before and love it even more now!  I usually applied this product before my foundation or on days I was looking for a real glow I would add it to my foundation as I was applying!  This product is €7.99 and can be got at any Boots store.  Keep an eye out however as The Boots Botanic's range are always usually on special!

Last but not least I have been absolutely loving Snapchat.  If your not aware I have been daily vlogging over on it.  I did take a little brake due to have the baby but I'm starting to get back into it!  I decided to give it a go as I decided to put my YouTube channel on hold until after baby Dylan arrived.  I am absolutely addicted to it, like seriously, my charger has now become a permanent accessory!  I can't be without it the battery on my phone is shocking and that's the only downfall I have with the app it will eat your battery like crazy!  I'm addicted to vlogging on it and I'm addicted to watching other bloggers snapstorys too aswell as some celebs.  I do have a post planned of my favourite people to follow on Snapchat so stay tuned for that!

Anyways folks that has been my July/August monthly favourites! I really hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions about anything featured above then ask away on any of the social medias below! :D

Until next time,
Lisa.
