DeiseBlogger Mad Hatter Tea Party In Aid of Pieta House (Includes Vlog)

I can't believe its already been a week since our event has actually happened.  Apologies for the post being so late with, 2 baby's, work and a 1 year old's party I have been a bit preoccupied.  If you follow me on snapchat then you will of heard be talking about this.  I burnt myself out so its taking until now to feel somewhat normal again!

Anyways onto the event itself!  It ran as smooth as could be, which was surprising because no matter how well you usually prepare for it something usually always happens, typical Murphys Law but I have to say everything went greater then expected.

Rachael, jodi and myself decided to go ahead and plan a second event this year and the only difference was this year we decided to raise money for a charity that is very close to alot of us DeiseBloggers hearts.  Pieta house is a centre for prevention of self harm and suicide.  Suicide here in Ireland reached epidemic numbers last year so it is so important to support centres such as Pieta House who are working on the ground levels to help anyone who may feel this way.  90% of Pietas income comes from fundraisers such as the one we held here in Waterford so we are very pleased to announce we raised €450 on the day.

So our event kicked off with a raffle as each blogger entered the kazbar top bar everyone got to pick a card out of a deck of cards and then we pulled the winning card from the bucket.  This was a great little ice breaker and fit right in with our Mad Hatter theme.

We then had a wonderful talk from Celia who is the founder of Nia Natural Skincare.  She spoke about everything from the importance of a skincare routine and how to get good dental hygiene.  Did you know those little bits of dust you see floating in the air, especially when you have a ray of sun shine into a room that they it isn't actually dust it is infact dead skin!  I had no idea.  Celia is an encyclopedia when it comes to skincare I could of sat and listened to her speak all night!

Up next was the lovely Danielle from Danielle Makeup.  On the day Danielle demoed her airbrushing skills and done a fabulous daytime look on her model.   She gave us all the insights into airbrushing foundation and I have to say the finish of the foundation was amazing!

Tomitago were next up to the stage.  Tomitago are a local based skincare brand and I have already done a post on this amazing brand so if you want to check that out just CLICK HERE.  They demoed a few bits from there skincare range which is available to buy online.

We then had a brake where bloggers were free to browse the amazing Delaneys Pharmacy, take a picture or two at our selfie station or tuck into some freshly made scones from the lovely Kazbar.
At this time we also had another raffle with some amazing prizes to giveaway such as a fabulous hamper from Mr. Price, an amazing Necklace from Hallmark Jewelers, a Penneys voucher  and many more.

After the brake the amazingly talented Niamh from Niamh Cleary Makeup done a quick, easy but amazing ultra glam look.  The girl makes it look so easy, she talked about some of her favourite products and gave us some of her tricks of the trade.

The fab Daryl and Shirley from Mulligans Pharmacy were up next to announce there new Bloggers Ambassador program.  With this every blogger that attended were giving a personalised discount card with there photo and blog name on it.  It was such a fantastic moment and a great surprise for everyone.  It was so nice to see everyone's face!

One of Waterfords most prestigious hairdressers done a fabulous demo on the one and only Diane Everett!  She showed us how to create the gorgeous wave curl and how to back comb the hair properly.  Which was something I really needed to learn!
Diane did a spontaneous Q'n'A at the very end which was so nice to get to know the girl behind the snapchat.

We ended the event with a balloon release for Pieta House.  This was such a special moment shared between us DeiseBloggers and one we all wont ever forget.
