TOMITAGO Skincare Mini Review + Interview
Hey my lovelys :)
So today I am bringing you an interview with the owner Louise, of TOMITAGO :) If you are unfamiliar with the brand it is a locally made skincare brand! Louise has 4 products in the range so far and all products are unisex! She has an Elixer, Body Oil, Lip + Cuticle Balm and the Combi.
I was very lucky to be sent the Elixer and the Combi to try out also. I have only started using the products last week since I got lazy with my skincare routine over Christmas but I have to say the Elixer is a game changer for me!!
The Combi
The Combi is a multi task product as the name suggests, which can be used as an exfoiliator or a mask. To apply it as a mask all you need to do is massage it into your skin for 2 minutes onto a dry, clean face. Leave it on for about 20-30 minutes and then rinse off with warm water! I personally have been love using it as a face mask! It feels luxurious on the skin and you can feel instant results from the mask!
The Elixer
As I mentioned above the Elixer is a game changer! It is a 5 in 1 product its can be used in the following ways...
- Eye Serum
- Face Serum
- Day Moisturiser
- Night Moisturiser
- Make-up Primer
This one product truely can do it all and can save you big bucks. Instead of forking out for all 5 products serperately you have one that does it all! Genius right? I certainly think so. The best thing of all a little goes a very long way! You are supplied with a small wooden spoon, it reminded me of the spoons you used to get with the Maxi Twist ice-creams years ago! Anyone remember them? Haha. Anyways as I was saying you will only need to use around half of the spoon amount of product. Then all you have to do is warm the product up on your hands and apply to the face and neck in upward and outward motions.
I use this every morning on face and I have just tried it as a primer and I used no setting spray and by the end of a 12 hour day everything was still in place! I am so excited about this product and believe me I'm not a massive skincare fan in general I mean I have only started doing a routine over the last few months! So when I say a skincare product excites me is kind of a big deal!!!
Anyways I will have a full review on these products in a few weeks time. I like to give skincare products a good run before I can fairly review them. Now onto the interview. :)
Q1. Was skincare always an interest for you or was it something you fell into?
ALWAYS AN INTEREST OF MINE,WELL SELF-APPEARANCE WAS ALWAYS REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME EVEN WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL. I ALSO STARTED MY WORKING CAREER AS A BEAUTY THERAPIST AND SPENT ABOUT A DECADE DOING THAT.
Q2. Have you always wanted to start up your own business?
THAT'S A DEFINITE YES.I SUPPOSE I AM A LITTLE BIT OF A FREE SPIRIT AND COULD NEVER QUITE FIT IN TO THE CONSTRAINTS OF BEING EMPLOYED BY SOMEONE ELSE. I FELT THAT I HAD NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO WORK FOR MYSELF.
Q3. How long have you been working on your skincare brand?
ABOUT A YEAR BEFORE I WENT PUBLIC WITH IT.
Q4. How did you come up the name TOMITAGO? And has it got a special meaning? (Which is an amazing name by the way) [😊]
YES-THE COMPANY WAS SET UP IN HONOUR OF MY LOVELY DAD WHO HAD PASSED AWAY THE SAME YEAR THAT I BEGAN (2014) AND HIS NAME WAS TOMMY (TOMI) AND PLANTAGO WAS THE VERY FIRST NATURAL REMEDY THAT REALLY CAUGHT MY EYE (TAGO) AND SO TOMITAGO WAS BORN I GUESS!
Q5. If you had to choose only 3 skincare products to use everyday what would they be?
SOAP,WARM WATER AND THE ELIXIR.
Q6. What skin type do you cater for? Or do you cater to all skin types?
ALL SKIN TYPES.
Q7. What is your number 1 skincare tip?
EXFOLIATE AND MOISTURISE (I KNOW THAT'S TWO!)
Q8. What are some of your personal favourite products from the TOMITAGO brand?
I LOVE THE ELIXIR AND THE BODY OIL-I LOVE THE FEELING OF WELL BEING THAT THEY GIVE ME AMONG OTHER THINGS.AFTER I'VE WASHED AND USED THEM,I REALLY FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN TO A SPA.BUT I HAVE SOME MORE PRODUCTS THAT I WILL REVEAL NEXT YEAR THAT I LOVE ALSO,WATCH THIS SPACE...LOL!

NO ALL THE PRODUCTS SO FAR ARE UNISEX-WOMEN AREN'T THE ONLY ONES WITH SKIN!
